We’ll be looking for concretions in the creek bedrock, some of which contain fossil crabs. It’s also a lovely small creek in the woods, perfect for a hot July day. Tools for this field trip might include rock hammer and chisel. Because it is probably going to be warm, make sure you have a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water. Recommended that you wear lightweight long pants and shirt. You will be in the water, but think about wearing shoes that cover toes and heels, like sneakers you don’t worry about getting wet.
