Our last field trip of the season will be Saturday August 29. We will be looking for crinoids, sea stars, sea urchins, and more invertebrates on the cliff above the Nehalem River.

For those who know the site in Columbia County, Oregon, go there directly and we’ll meet you there. For those who are unsure of where to go, meet at the Natal Grange alongside Highway 47 about 14 miles north of Vernonia (67528 Nehalem Hwy N, Vernonia, OR 97064). Plan on being there by 10:00 AM.

Suggested equipment: small shovel, rock hammer, and chisel. Hard hats recommended. Bring appropriate clothes for the weather, lunch and drinking water!
